Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya (BPSMV) is a prestigious women’s state university located at Khanpur Kalan in Sonipat district, Haryana. Established in 2006 by the Government of Haryana, it is recognized as the first women-only state university in North India, dedicated to empowering women through higher education The university traces its origins to the vision of social reformer Bhagat Phool Singh, who believed that educating women was essential for social progress. His efforts began with the establishment of a girls’ gurukul at Khanpur Kalan in 1936, which later expanded into various educational institutions and eventually evolved into the present university
